About Dr. Anil Maheshwari, MD - Wellness and Weight Loss Doctor
Dr. Anil Maheshwari, MD is a board certified family physician specializing in nutrition and weight loss. He practices in Metuchen, New Jersey and is on staff at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. He is an associate clinical professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) - New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Society of Bariatric Physicians.
Dr. Maheshwari is also a stand-up comedian who has appeared in venues featuring Adam Sandler, Steven Wright and Rita Rudner. He has performed for audiences as large as 1,200 and has performed in clubs such as Comic Strip Live, Stand Up NY, New York Comedy Club, and Ha! in New York City. He has been featured in the NY Daily News and the American Medical Association News. In addition he has appeared on the Early Today Show.
As a Certified Toastmaster, he enjoys combining his two passions in humorous educational keynotes and seminars that he gives to corporations such as Panasonic and community groups such as the American Association of Retired Persons and Rotary Club International. He has also presented to schools and churches such as Sanford-Brown, the Red Oaks School and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
